“We talked about the future.” Director MIL Counsel, contract extension near the end of the contract?

Milwaukee Brewers manager Craig Counsell is about to serve as the club’s longest term. Also, it is entering the final season of his contract.

Coach Counsell was asked about the contract in an interview with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel on the 12th (Korean time), and said, “I had a conversation with the owner, Mark Atanasio.”

He was appointed as the successor manager after manager Ron Ronicky was sacked during the 2015 season. Since then, he has steadily raised the team’s win rate, and in 2018, he ranked first in the district and advanced to the championship series. He led the team for eight seasons, going 615-555 with a .531 winning percentage.

Since Milwaukee operates on a lower-than-average salary, Coach Counsell’s leadership has been more recognized, and he signed a three-year extension ahead of the 2020 season. 스포츠토토

He is expected to become the longest-serving manager in the club’s franchise history, as he is expected to hold the commanding tower until this season without sacking. The previous record belongs to manager Phil Garner, who held the helm from 1992 to 1999.

“I’m in a good place,” Counsell said. What I am currently doing is very good. I have had constant conversations with the owner and the front desk, and will continue to do so in the future. But first, the 2023 season is important. We are ready to take the first step.”

Milwaukee is building a strong starting lineup that includes Corbin Burns, Brandon Woodruff, Freddy Peralta, Eric Lauer and Adrian Houser. They are still considered favorites for the district title, and will compete with the newly redesigned Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals.
