Legendary Dutch goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar is recovering from a brain hemorrhage.
Van der Sar was hospitalized after suffering a brain hemorrhage on Aug. 8. He was vacationing on an island in Croatia and was rushed to the hospital by helicopter. Since 2016, he had been the CEO of the prestigious Dutch club Ajax. He stepped down from the position in May, citing the heavy workload.
His condition did not improve enough to keep him in intensive care. However, he recently left intensive care. He is reportedly out of danger and is able to communicate. 메이저사이트
“First of all, I want to thank everyone for the great and supportive messages,” Van de Sardo said on his social media accounts. I’m happy to share that I’m no longer in ICU, but I’m still in the hospital. I want to go home next week and take the next step in my recovery,” he wrote, giving a direct indication that his health was improving.
Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand responded to the post with a heart, while the English Premier League (EPL) secretariat also wished him well, saying, “We are hoping for your recovery.”
